Stephanie Jung research // Experimental

Photographer, Stephanie Jung creates images of multiple layers. Each layer is of the same image just is a slightly different position. Each image is of a significant place within a city which is busy. This is effective because as it's busy she's emphasizing the idea of it being busy. Although she captures busy city life with a large urban place, her work is 'about time and caducity, about capturing special moments getting lost in time' - quoted from her website, which is here. Each of the images below could be said to hold the weakness of old age and time, as well as having captured a special moment in time.

Japan, a city of culture, also full of life and very busy. This image captures Japan in its full, with the culture, nightlife and busyness along the streets.

The vehicles within this image have been multiplied so that there is three of each. This makes it seem that the image called Closing Time, conveys the aspect of everyone rushing to get home after work has finished - which is always really busy.

This image above, seems to have the building as a significant thing within the image, with a multiplied amount of people around it. The building must hold some significance to the city such as being a train station.
